Beaumont police have released the name of a man that died in an officer related shooting. Officers were called to a home yesterday afternoon in the 2200 block of Ashley and encountered 68-year old Charles Patrick Carroll, who was armed with a gun. Carroll was shot by officers and died at the scene. Per department policy, two officers have been placed on administrative leave with pay.
