A man is jailed in Chambers County charged with capital murder. Todd Carter is accused of shooting and killing a clerk during a convenience store robbery Saturday night at the Time Max store on the I-10 service road near the Old and Lost Rivers. The clerk, Jenny Bagby, was transported to a hospital where she died. Carter was arrested following a pursuit with deputies.
