A jury that convicted Jayin Jevon Lewis of Port Arthur for injury to a child, that led to the child’s death has sentenced him to 60 years in prison. In March of 2022, the body of 4-year old King Dewey was found locked in a closet in a home in Port Arthur. The child was severely malnourished and weighed less than 20 pounds. Earlier this week the boy’s older sister, 24-year old Kristen Louis, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. The child’s mother, Tina Louis is awaiting trial.
