Hardin County ESD #2 is expected to name an interim fire chief today to replace Jeff McNiel whose contract was terminated by a 3-2 vote last week. The interim will serve until a fulltime chief is hired. McNeil served as fire chief in Lumberton for nine years. Prior to that, he spect 36 years with the Beaumont Fire Department.
