Helicopter Hits Tower In Downtown Houston

Houston, TX) -- Several people are reported dead after a helicopter crashed into a radio tower on Sunday night near Houston's East End. Houston firefighters responded just before 8 p.m. to the reported fiery crash on Engelke Street near Ennis Street. Houston Police Chief Noe Diaz says the private helicopter had taken off from Ellington Field shortly before the crash. There was no injuries on the ground, but everybody on board the helicopter, including a child, was killed. The Federal Aviation Administration and other agencies are investigating the accident.
