It is election day. Some of the races in Southeast Texas include for Jefferson County sheriff where incumbent Zena Stephens is being challenged by Steven Broussard. Also in Jefferson County, Kate Carrol is facing Shawn Webb-Locke for TaxAssessor-Collector. There is mayor and city council races in Groves and city council races in Bevil Oaks. In Vidor, residents are voting on a $98.4 million school bond issue. The polls will be until 7:00.
