Baumont police are investigating a New Years Day homicide. The victim, 54-year old Clifford Motton of Beaumont, was on his bicycle when he was shot in the 3900 block of St. Helena. Detectives are asking residents in the area of St. Helena and Walton to check their surveillance cameras between 7:00 and 7:40 last night.
