A capital murder trial in Jefferson County has ended in a mistrial. The 12 member jury could not reach a verdict in the trial of 32-year old Paul Edwards Westbrooks, who was on trial for the April 2023 shootings deaths of 31-year old Roven Dotson and 32-year old Ahmad Hayden at a home in the 1800 block of Elgie in Beaumont. A second suspect, Dijon Ivory is serving a 35 year sentence after reaching a plea agreement.
