Two are jailed following a weekend traffic stop in Jasper County. Sheriff Chuck Havard says a deputy made the stop late Saturday night on FM 82 near Kirbyville. The passenger, 32-year old Stephanie Ernst, of Kirbyville exited the vehicle and threw what was identified as methamphetamine from her pocket. The driver, 46-year old Donald Thompson, of Newton, was in possession of meth. He also had traffic violation warrants. Both Ernst and Thompson were transported to the Jasper County Jail.
