Beaumont police report a woman chasing a dog was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night. It happened on North Major Drive. The woman and a male acquaintance were involved in a disturbance in the driveway of an apartment complex when the dog broke free and ran onto Major Drive and was struck and killed. The woman that was hit died at the scene. That vehicle left the scene and was later located.
