Nearly 2,200 early votes have been cast in Beaumont for the May 3rd election. According to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office 1,868 votes have been cast in person and 313 have been received by mail. Highlighting the ballot in Beaumont is the mayor’s race and city council seats. This is the case in several other Southeast Texas communities as well. Early voting continues through Tuesday, April 29th.
