A Beaumont police officer was among the more than 300 arrested during the Jeep weekend on the Bolivar Peninsula this weekend. 35-year old Reginald Charles Boykin is charged with misdemeanor charges of failure to display a driver’s license, expired plates, and open container. He posted bond. Officer Boykin has been placed on paid administrative leave. In other news from Jeep weekend, more than 40 weapons were confiscated.
