A $264 million bond package has been approved by the Beaumont city council. Items include $61 million for a new police station, $58 million for street and drainage improvements, $50 million for a new multi-purpose complex that includes sports activities, $12 million at Riverfront Park that will include an amphitheater, $11 million for a multi complex at Alice Keith Park, and $9 million for a Pointe Parkway extension. Council decided against a Dowlen Road extension. These items will appear separately on the November 4th ballot.
