A man is jailed after taking a vehicle with a 3 year old child in it from the Chevron Station at Nederland Ave and Highway 69. The suspect drove to Beaumont and dropped the child off in the 1100 block of Campus Street. The suspect was later arrested at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Saxe. He is charged with kidnapping, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, and child endangerment. Checking the Jefferson County Jail roster, 44 year old Steve Williams in incarcerated on a charge of aggravated kidnapping.
