Sabine County Murder Suspect Arrested In Oklahoma

A suspect in a carjacking is awaiting extradition to Sabine County after his arrest on Monday in Oklahoma. 36-year-old Todd Stevens reportedly shot 43-year-old Cody Thompson in Bronson on Sunday and stole his pickup truck. Chambers County deputies later found the truck on fire under the Trinity River bridge. They discovered a body inside the truck that hasn't yet been officially identified. Stevens is wanted in Sabine County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and will also face charges in Chambers County.
