A five-year-old Oklahoma girl has become the youngest child to ever qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee after winning the Scripps regional spelling bee in Tulsa over the weekend. Homeschooler Edith Fuller won the competition by correctly spelling the word "jnana," which is a Hindu term for knowledge. The youngest previous competitors in the National Spelling Bee were at least six years old. The national contest will be held in May.
