'KINGSMAN' RULES BOX OFFICE WITH $39M TAKE (09/25/2017)
The top three movies at the box office this weekend raked in more than $20 million each. Kingsman: The Golden Circle raked in the most, with $39 million.
The Matthew Vaughn-helmed film, starring Colin Firth and Mark Strong, is a sequel to 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, which opened with $36.2 million.
It, meanwhile, is continuing its successful run, pulling in $30 million in its third weekend out, with a running cume of $266.3 million.
The Lego Ninjago Movie opened at $21.2 million, lower than its $27 million-$32 million opening estimate.
