Debra Suierveld and her family long ago gave up hope they’d ever see their dog Abby again. The black Labrador mix ran away 10 years ago, and they never saw her again. But, amazingly after all those years, Abby is back at her home near Pittsburgh. She wandered onto a front porch 10 miles west of the Suierveld’s house, and the owner called Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley. They discovered that Abby had a microchip, and were able to contact her family. Wherever she was all those years, it appears she was well cared for. The family threw a reunion dinner for her yesterday.
