'RAMPAGE' OUTSCREAMS 'A QUIET PLACE' AT BOX OFFICE (04/16/2018)

New Line/Warner BrosRampage has taken the No. 1 spot at the box office, with a $34.5 million opener. The film was up 20% over Friday. Globally, the Dwayne Johnson-top-liner garnered $148.6 million.

John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place also surged Saturday, up 29% with a second weekend haul of $32.6 million, and a 10-day total of $99.6 million.

Universal/Blumhouse’s horror film Truth or Dare opened at $19.1 million, closing out the top three.

According to ComScore, overall box office is down 2.3% year-to-date.
