Louisiana Couple's Giant Grapefruit Breaks Two Records

Large fruits may not be impressive to you, but the giant grapefruit grown in a Louisiana couple’s garden has broken not one, but two Guinness World Records—one for size and one for weight. Doug and Mary Beth Meyer say the impressive grapefruit came from a tree they bought several years ago and replanted in their Slidell backyard. Officials from Guinness World Records and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture officials determined the grapefruit was a record-breaking 29 inches in circumference and 7 pound, 14.6 ounces.
