Firefighters Warn Not To Leave Bottled Water In Car

Temperatures are beginning to get warmer across much of the U.S., but you should resist the urge to leave a bottle of water in the cup holder in your car's center console. Oklahoma's Midwest City Fire Department found sunlight magnified by a water bottle reached 250 degrees pretty quickly, and this can cause whatever is in the resulting beam of light to ignite. The actual risk of something like this happening is pretty low, but to be on the safe side the experts say you should always take your clear water bottle with you.
