(Lake Charles, LA) -- More than nine-million additional federal dollars are on the way to Southwest Louisiana for Hurricane Laura recovery. GOP Congressman Clay Higgins announced the new funding Tuesday. More than five-million-dollars goes to the Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative for emergency protective measures. The city of Lake Charles gets more than a million for the same reason. A million goes to Cameron Parish for repairs to the Water District 10 Tower. Vinton gets nearly two-million for debris removal.
