A murder trial is underway in Jefferson County. 43-year Christopher Ray Jones is charged with
the 2019 Valentine’s Day shooting death of his wife, 38-year old Olvia Jones. Christopher Jones
has been indicted for murder and manslaughter. A murder conviction would be 5 to 99
years or life. A manslaughter conviction would be two to 20 years or probation. The trial is
take place in Judge John Stevens court room.
