A Beaumont man has been convicted by a Jefferson County jury on three counts of sexual abuse
of a child and one count of indecency with a child. 37-year old Emmanuel Perez’s victim was a
12-year old girl. He was sentenced to 70 years for each of the sexual abuse of a child and 20
years for the indecency of a child. The 20 year sentence will not start until after the 70 years.
