The Beaumont city council has hired a firm to demolish the AT&T building. By a 4-2 vote,
council awarded the contract to Prism Response for $757,000. The Houston firm was one
of two companies that submitted bids. Councilmen AJ Turner and Taylor Neild voted no.
Ward Two Councilman Mike Getz was not at yesterday’s meeting.
