Supposedly, of the 20 million uninsured, a great number are 20 something folks who think they will love forever. Another group are those on welfare, with subsidized rent, food stamps, etc. If these folks(say half) were forced to pay 5.00 a month or 60 dollars a year, that would come to 50 million dollars a year or two and a half billion over five years. While this would not solve the problem it would, to a great degree take care of part of the problem of not enough money to stem the tide. Will it happen? Of course not. Those who do not pay, do not plan to pay. They also know the routine. That being, they will be cared for because this is America. This will also apply to illegal immigrants in this country. If they fall sick in the street, they will be cared for. Something needs fixing. Don’t you agree?
