And so it rolls on. 54 years of radio in Beaumont, 40 here at KLVI, come next Friday. How could you fit even one fiftieth of the experiences that came about during this tenure into a book. Like all else, things have changed. There are new phases and new faces, but people still listen. They hear what they want and that’s the way it should be. What kept me here in southeast Texas simply put, are the people. I have come to know over this long period of time that friends and not money are what is most important. I hear this from the pulpit every Sunday, but it is only when I sit and allow myself the luxury of thinking back that I realize the wonderful friends made here. Some are gone, some have moved, some I see once in a blue moon, but it is always with welcome. Thank you, folks, for allowing me to talk and meet with so many of you. It’s an honor beyond words.
