Our kids slept with us at one time or another. What mom or dad could turn down the young ones when they swore a ghost was in their room. It was a treat to snuggle next to mom and dad. No more. Rattles in the crib? No more. Pillows, teddy bears? Not on your life. Why are today’s kids any different than fifty years ago? Beats me. However, that is the new mantra. No sleeping with mom or dad. No toys in the crib. No covers in the crib. Let em freeze but don’t put anything in the crib that could hurt them. I often wonder how our kids made maturity. But they did.
