Fourteen years ago, the Chicago Cubs were five outs from possibly getting to the World Series when one of their own (Cub fan) stuck his glove out denying Moises Alou the chance of a catch and moving Chicago to the big show for the first time since 1908. Obviously Cub fans were mad, but over time forgot. NOT THE CUBS. Yesterday they awarded “The Fan”(same one who denied their moving on in the playoffs) a World Series ring. Are you believing that? You better because it happened. It’s another of those great stories where everyone gets a medal. I have an idea where most Chicago fans would like to place that medal.
