I am sure Ms. Jamele Hill of ESPN sports is a fine young lady. (Well, actually I am not sure.)
The reason I am not sure is after her rant about Donald Trump and everyone who voted for him being a white supremacist which she announced to the world on said sports network, I question her supposed findings. Are they findings or just opinions? No matter. She now says she was misquoted. Well, not actually either. But to save her butt she claimed she was amazed that folks were mad at her employer.
After all, it wasn’t their idea. Correct!!! It was not. But she used the vehicle to get her message out. If she had leaned out the window before going on the air, only a few startled people below in cozy Connecticut would have known. We would not be discussing this. But she used ESPN and only someone too stupid to eat spaghetti with a fork wouldn’t be able to figure that out. Yeah, kiddo. It was you and it was ESPN because that’s where the message came from. Should the company fire her? That’s their business. However, that would mean they, too, were RACIST and we certainly cannot take that chance.
