There is no way I can fully understand the pain many of you are going through in the aftermath of Harvey. I would not even consider trying. As heartbreaking as it is for friends of mine, I still cannot fully understand their every day trauma. I talked to six people Saturday, asking whether they were all right. 3 had no damage, the other 3 lost virtually everything. That seems to be the way it is playing out. All or nothing at all. I hope in coming days your life is fulfilled. I pray  it will get better. One of the clerks I talked to told me they had lost their home but it was all right. “We’re ok”, she said. I stood there and watched her smile. What courage. But what can you expect. This is Southeast Texas.
