Well, October didn’t start out too well now, did it? More grandiose pieces will be written than mine. They will range from the average drivel of getting rid of guns to “why can’t we just get along”? The answer is we can’t because of values. Did you ever stop to think that when you pull the trigger of the gun next to your head, you are done? My dad used to say when you were dead you were dead for a long time. That’s pretty heavy and pretty profound. It’s also true. There is no value from the guy who kills you because he puts no value on his life. I’m surprised there were not more deaths. An automatic weapon with an automatic lack of value. A recipe for death. That includes everyone. Who is all inclusive? The victim’s families who will put the sorrow count somewhere between 100 and 200, maybe 3. Everyone who lost someone will be forever scarred. It’s all for that 15 seconds of fame, anger, self-pity or whatever the excuse is. When you leave home, hug the one you love. Please. Because you never know when there’s another out there. It doesn’t take much to go off the deep end. Especially when they are taking some innocents with them.
