One year ago today, Donald Trump made history by being the first president with no political experience dating back to Dwight D. Eisenhower, the commander of the U. S. Army and a pivotal figure in the second world war. Trump has his critics and in many cases, justifiably so, but read the tea leaves. Crime? He’s tackled it. it’s a work in progress. The wall? Nay. It’s possible some day. Economy? Splendid. You can’t give that one to Obama. GDP? Up. War on ISI? Lots of progress. Unemployment? Just over 4 percent. You may love him. You may hate him. But it’s a working presidency. He has had quite a few of the page moments. He’ll have some more. Let’s face it. The best thing we can do for the next 3 years is to pray for good. That’s what most of us do, most of the time anyway.a
