Ironic, isn’t it, that on Flag Day in which we celebrate every state thanks to our stars and stripes, that California is trying to secede. I don’t really think they are fooling anyone with their “economic” ploy. Sound reasoning will tell you that becoming three, the giant paramecium would get additional senators, house members, etc. How would this affect the electoral college? Why Texas might go for a split, north against the south, likewise in New York, Florida, Illinois etc. Didn’t we go through a war of the states over 100 years ago? The last time there was a split, part of Virginia became West Virginia. Well, that certainly worked out well, didn’t it?
