The latest crime thing (and there’s always one newbie) is “jugging”. It is the act of stealing from someone, usually a senior citizen who is leaving a bank or credit union. They withdraw money and is normally given to the customer in an envelope. Thieves wait outside till the customer gets in their vehicle and then follows them to the next stop. It could be the grocery store, the mall or even home. When the driver exits the car they will hold them up. It’s gotten so bizarre they will follow you home and in some cases to your doorstep. (Not good). Female drivers who gas up at the self-serve and concentrate on the amount of fuel being put in the vehicle will not notice the “slide up” on the passenger side where they will reach in and grab a purse or whatever looks good. What’s one to do? Just try and be aware of your surroundings at all times. It’s tough to do but try and remember.
