There’s a story about the proprietor, who when asked by a customer how much his Flounder was, replied “six dollars a pound”. The customer, sensing something fishy(sic) said “six”? The fish market down the street sells it for 3 dollars a pound. “Then why not buy it there, “ replied the owner? “Because they are out of it” was the answer. The fish prop then smiled and said: “Yes, when I’m out of it I also sell it for three dollars a pound”. Trade wars? Maybe. If you can make it yourself, do it. That’s what president Trump said. You make it yourself, there is no tariff and there’s a great market. Maybe not feasible. But it sure sounds like it makes sense. Yes, we would pay more because American workers get more. So what’s your poison?
