Halloween! What a perfect day for a charade. It reminds of the Smith’s who lived next door to the Jones.
Jones kept his job, saved his money, paid attention to his wife and kids. His wife was beautiful. So was Smith’s. Jones paid attention and had a new car, and a great life. He always kept his mouth shut. Smith too made money and had all of the amenities that Jones had. Sometimes Smith spoke his mind. He said what he felt and stood his ground. Jones who never did hated Smith. He poor mouthed him constantly. He managed to turn half the neighborhood against Smith. They all agreed. Although he was successful he spoke the truth. The neighbors tried to get rid of him. “Bad for folks who live here”, they screamed. So they made up stuff hoping Smith would leave. Sound familiar? Happy Halloween. It’s another great holiday.
