My granddaughter and her now husband tied the knot over the weekend in New Orleans at an ancient venue below the Mississippi bridge that dates back 200 plus years. It was, by far, the most extravagant wedding I have ever attended and as grandfather and grandmother, were flattered to be invited. The groom, from Birmingham, England paid air fare and hotel for the over many friends and relatives from his home town. The guests were treated to a rare touch of royalty combined with a typical “Big Easy” touch. The reason I bring this up is not solely family pride but the fact that the entire wedding, everything included was paid for by bride and groom, a rarity in today or any other day’s world. I am fully convinced that these “millennials” are on track for success.
