In their infinite wisdom most media deflect when using the term CIC(Commander in Chief) when referring to our current president. But as someone much wiser than I once said: “It’s the economy, stupid”. Well, he’s the Commander in Chief (stupid) and as such he is the final word. Barrack Obama was the final word and no one seemed to have a problem with that. “The buck stops here” ( uttered by my all time favorite president Harry Truman) said it best. So Donald Trump likes the military. He likes them better than most of the media and many of the fat cat’s on the hill. If you saw “Saving Private Ryan”, you saw the part where the soldier passes on killing the enemy. Later they meet again and the German soldier is obliged to stab his counterpart to death. “War is hell” and sometimes military men do on the battlefield things that are least appetizing to us. BUT they are the ones facing the fire and the enemy and the elements. They don’t need us second guessing them. Hear that, Media? The Commander and Chief gave the guy his medal and his dignity back. You got a problem with that?
