It's not always the days of wine and roses (great movie, Jack Lemmon/Lee Remick) and most of us realize that. I remember the market dropping by half following 9-11 and again during the '08 recession. It's inevetable which is why I picked up a side hustle 45 years ago. I bought houses in the low rent section of the city and still have a few. I learned firsthand how people with little money live. It is really hand to mouth and when a drop in business takes place, they feel it the worst. As a kid in the 1940's and as a kid and later on the road as a musician ate lots of gravy bread. If you did also, you know what I am talking about. It was called stretching a meal and filling your tummy. OK, let's get serious. Presidents hate to bring bad news. Trump, Barack, Bush, Clinton. No one likes to shoulder the blame. But Joe, take a look. Open your eyes. You inherited an inflation rate of 1.4, now 8.3. A market that was steady. Gas was cheap and I know, it's come down a lot but people are hurting. I think you've made some mistakes. From the first day you slashed the oil industry right in the gut. You screwed up the exit from Afghanistan. You keep telling us you are unifying the country. We're about as green as the Jolly Giant and meanwhile India and China are polluting their part of the world faster than a jack rabbit in heat. Ask my buddy Bostwick if the wind doesn't carry pollution. Of course, it does. Speaking of that, it's an ill wind that blows no good. (Look that one up the next time you get a little windy during a press conference.) That is, if you have any more.
