So the big "K" struck again. Not the cereal but the vice president of the United States. Second in charge in case something happens to the BIG GUY!! Hopefully not. We have had a run of good, mediocre and bad vice presidents. Take your pick. If Kamala Harris doesn't rank among the worst, then I am out of bounds.
FDR had what he considered a poor choice. Turns out Harry Truman will show in historical notes to be as good, maybe a better choice than his boss. Eisenhower chose RMN. Nixon could have been great had he not been so paranoid. A good electee till the roof caved in. JFK never got a chance at a second term, or to finish his first. Say what you will, LBJ stepped in with his Texas drawl and pulled the fat out of the fire. Nixon got his chance as earlier reported and managed to glom it up despite making the first roads ever in China, a feat no one else has been able to pull off. He certainly was a better choice than Hubie Humphrey who thought we were all "special". Unfortunately, Nixon got too close to the urinal and peed on his shoes and Gerald Ford took the reins for a short time. I think he(Ford) could have been a keeper but was defeated by Jimmy Carter who was a nice guy, but as you know, they always finish last. Ronald Reagan did not really care for George Herbert Walker Bush but George surprised everyone, including himself. Bill Clinton chose Al Gore and enough said there. George Bush (43) chose a guy who shot a fellow hunter in the face and spawned a daughter who regrettably will soon be unemployed. That brings us to Barack Obama, who chose Joe Biden, who chose Kamala Harris and on that I rest my case.
