Maybe it was during my afternoon nap but is it true that political correctness is gone?????
How could this be. "My rod and thy staff, they comfort me." Actually they have always made me uncomfortable. I don't know if I am politically anything and certainly not comfortable. Today I tried to be the nice guy, giving someone a parking space i was dead on with. I backed up, let them in and they sneered at me. Unfettered I made a comment as we both entered the store as I found a spot next to the unappreciative nerd. " Tough finding spots this time of day", I uttered, to which he responded thusly. " If some people knew how to drive, life would be a little better", he responded. At that point, I went silent. "Let it go," I thought. It's a beautiful afternoon. He just couldn't let it go. He looked back with a smirk and pointed at me. That was it. I uttered the three words I have found to be so effective in times like these. Though the words instruct someone to do what is physically impossible, especially if you are not double jointed,There is a certain finality to that phrase that is usually a conversation ender. In my world, it is also politically correct, regardless of your party affiliation. I don't know if that was an indication of my party affiliation, but I do think it proved a point. Don't mess with someone who is over 80 and still walking under their own power.
