Al's Morning Blog 11/16/22

In baseball two strikes are a wave, three is a whiff. While the republicans did not whiff, they came up far short in last weeks elections. Aside from the fact that Arizona and Nevada cannot spell cat when it comes to a vote tally, there was another message given by the public. Not everything is a certainty. There is no Pennsylvania, or Arizona, etc. One can gnash their teeth, cry fouls and cuss but the fat lady sang. It is not all aout abortion, it is not all about inflation, it is about what people really want. Maybe they just do not care. Could be they are all right with D.A..s who empty the jails. Maybe they like a slow walkin, slow talkin president. Maybe they do not care they are short of grocery money, student debt and the like. Maybe we don't know what each other is really thinking. Taxes, gas, food, climate change? You take your pick. Maybe the right doesn't have the right ideas or the right candidate. Maybe Fox news is wrong. Maybe CNN is right. Maybe the pollsters got it all wrong. You can beat the drums all day long about cheaters, climate change or whatever you want. The end line, the sum total is that America is still pretty evenly divided. New Hampshire, California, Illinois, New York?? They ain't likely to change. I rest my case. I usually sleep on my right side at night. Soemtimes, I roll over. I don't know which side is more comfortable. Neither does my body. It just does.
