​I flunked Algebra one, freshman year in high school. I did not flunk regular math and am proficient enough to crunch most numbers. Most of us ignore the numbers we hear nowadays because they are too dizzying to digest. Thousand replaced by million and million replaced by billion. Too much to count. We hear the word billion and we shrug it off. So, let's do a little math 101. We recently had a winner in the Powerball (2 billion dollars) and we gasped at what we would do with such a sum. Now let's try this one on for size. (1 billion dollars. Slowly now...9---1-- BILLION. Thats how much has been sent to Ukraine over the last ten months and there is more on the way. 9 billion plus per month. Two billion, 275 million per week. 325 million per week. 46 million plus a whole bunch more per day, 13 million per hour. How many new highways, new schools, new electric vehicles stations ( if we ever decide to build them.) How many hungry mouths are there in this nation? That includes the children, the seniors, etc. How many securities checkpoints, how many police officers? How much? Mucho, Mucho. I hate to see impoverished nations, especially our nation. That's a big number. Maybe our leaders need a refresher course in math. They already have taken one in stupidity.
