Al's Morning Blog 01/08/23

I eat out twice a week or more and enjoy it. I realize that like anything else in today's world it is not the safest thing to do. Nothing is. In a subway station in New York, a church in south Texas, a retail store in Chicago, a school in (pick your place) anywhere. Eating at a Mexican restaurant in Houson sounds good. Until someone comes in, brandishing a gun and demands everyone throw their wallet on the floor, which they do. One citizen whips out his pistol, shoots and kills the perp. ( Hate to say it, but good deal. ) He tells all to pick up their wallets and they do. Sounds good. Except for one thing. The perp had a phony gun. It was not a real gun? Is their a problem here? I cannot see one. Mr. Stupid tries to hold up a place with a plastic gun and dies a real death (not a plastic one) in the act. Except the writer of the article describing the incident intimates that being the gun was not real, maybe the REAL killer should have known that. I can hear it now. Sobbing, the mother of the perp tells the media what a good boy her son was. It was just a well?? What the hell was it?? It was a holdup, and he is dead. AND that is good. Any objection here? Then a 6-year-old tries to off his teacher for whatever reason. You cannot try a 6-year-old? I agree. I agree. But someone, like a parent made that gun available. Attention gun haters!! The gun does not shoot itself. Repeat. the gun did not shoot itself. Some parent needs to go to jail for 5 to 20. Like the Reese candy commercial. Not sorry. Repeat. Not sorry. Not sorry for the perp. Disgusted with whoever the parent was that allowed this to happen. We have all been 6 at one time. Have we not? Remember?
