I get a kick out of seeing folks on the tube doing commercials. I'm talking about the folks who are no longer with us. Jimmy Dean, still hawking sausage years after leaving us. red Astaire dancing with a vacuum cleaner. Coming to a tube near you, all the folks you thought were gone, reappearing in full color. It, of course, is through the miracle of A-I. Artificial Intelligence (but you'd never know it) giving us the past like we never dreamed. Isn't it a little scary? The old adage "don't put words in my mouth" is coming to bite someone in the butt. Some comment you, a friend or a politician did not make, is there in living color. Poor Milli Vanilli. They were 15 to 20 years too soon. Lip synching was born in, for all intents and purposes on American Bandstand. Artists used to mouth the words to the records they recorded, and we did not know the difference. That was in the 50's and 60's. It saved money and the possibility of flubbing the words to a song. But this is dangerous. Showing folks saying things they did not say and swearing you saw it, BECAUSE YOU DID, that is explosive. Artificial intelligence is another of those giant leaps forward that we might live to regret. Key word is "artificial". Think about that.
