Al's Morning Blog 01/19/24

Slogans are great, and sometimes everlasting. "Things go better with Coke. "LSMFT..Lucky Strike means fine tobacco" (Well, that one is a little old), "See the USA in your Chevrolet" and MAGA. Oops!! Bad choice, How can make America great again, regardless of which party you support be so bad. We were all Americans after 9-11, but only for about 30 minutes. The slogan we are talking about is poison to virtually all of the media. If the democrats had come up with it, would it be great? Hard to say but Build Back Better sure sucks. And it didn't work either. It seems to be akin to a swear word. MAGA caps seem to be unworthy. MAGA people also. What was meant to be a slogan to fire up folks about our country has become the rallying cry for the opposite. I do wonder if our patriotism is gone. I do wonder if we are headed for a one party system. Sure, seems like we are being pushed that way. There is an old cigarette commercial that says, "I'd rather switch than fight". Fortunately, it never caught on. Or does it seem like it has?
